The engine is not retired

Only this page is. The recognition engine it was built around is live and unchanged: it runs inside the Scanner's decoder worker on every code you capture, offline, and it is what decides whether a payload is sensitive.

What this page did, the Scanner's Developer panel does now. Test input takes typed text, raw bytes as hex, or one of the stored fixtures, and the row it produces shows what was recognised, on what evidence, at what proof grade and how sensitive it is. The engine lives at workspace/codecapture/semantic; this page is kept at workspace/archive/semantic-lab-ui.
